I have many years of activism and civic leadership and experience as a successful business owner. Danbury Township is a community and a business. As a business owner I bring a business prospective to the work of the Trustees. I believe that I can use this experience and broad base of community service for the benefit of residents and businesses in Danbury Township. I have worked as a problem solver and consensus builder and have a demonstrated track record in analyzing problems and negotiating the resolution of issues.
I am currently co-chair on the Danbury Township Land Use Committee and for the last 2 years I have served on the Danbury Township Board of Zoning Appeals.
I believe that it is important to contribute to my community. Wherever I have lived I have been involved in civic affairs, organizations that support business such as the Chamber of Commerce and National and local Realtor associations. I have served on committees that worked for the environment such as protecting nesting sites for turtles and educating about the effects of climate change. I held leadership positions in professional and service organizations and condominium and homeowners’ associations and I am the webmaster for West Harbor Landing Boataminium. I was honored to be appointed to the Executive Board of Governors of the MBCC where I was able to combine my life long work in the business world with my commitment to community issues.
Over the years I have been an active fundraiser for my temple in Cleveland, for the Alzheimer’ Association in the Akron/Canton area, for women’s empowerment activities and for fighting domestic violence in Florida and most recently, for the Kiwanis auction in Port Clinton to help raise money for community drug education.
